Outdoor Play
Outdoor play is very important to the development of any child. Moving the body, working the muscles and interacting with others can have so many health and social benefits.
For those that are living with a sensory condition and who often feel anxious or stressed, exercise can help enormously in relaxing and controlling the anxiety. By working and moving the body during play and exercise, the body decreases muscle tension, reduces the body's stress hormones and stimulates the production of good hormones that in turn lowers the body's contribution to feeling anxious.
