Which Weight Of Blanket To Buy
If you don't know which weight of blanket to buy then this general rule of thumb may help...
One of the generally accepted principles of calculating the correct blanket weight is to take 10% of the users body weight and then add a pound.
For example:
If you have a child that weighs 5 stone this equates to 70lbs (5 x 14).
Take 10% of 70lbs = 7
Add a further 1 = 8lb blanket
Our research and experience have shown that this method gives a blanket that is heavy enough to be effective, but not too heavy so as to be uncomfortable to use.
