Our Weighted Snake provides deep pressure across the shoulders and neck or over the lap, the Therapy Tangle offers the sitter a tactile fidget to focus on when settling down for the work ahead and the Wobble Cushion will enable a little wiggly to satisfy their need to move around.

Sensory Direct’s Weighted Snake is a versatile weighted companion. The weight can either be spread across the shoulders and neck, or across the lap and upper legs. The weight provides a "grounding effect" which can have a calming effect and help stay focussed. The weight and size make it ideal for use in the classroom, at reading time, at the dinner table or in the car. User information and care instructions

The Wobble Cushion is an inflatable round cushion that is designed to offer the user a seat that can improve their posture and help with reducing the need to fidget or perform repetitive actions by creating "active sitting". When seated, the user, will feel a wobble which instinctively requires them to reposition their posture to remain balanced, helping to reduce the need for fidgeting. It can be used on a seat or floor. 

The large Tangle Therapy tool is made up of 20 interconnected, twistable pieces with soft rubberised material which is designed for maximum tactile pleasure. The user can focus on the twisting and turning of the pieces for self-regulating.

    Comfortable, easy for child to put on themselves and adjust, these also fold back down to be compact. They do not block a lot of sound but lower levels. They make walking along the road to school less stressful for my daughter taking the sound of passing cars to "noisy cat purrs" in her words.

    ON RECEIPT OF YOUR ORDER

    On receipt of your order please open all packages and thoroughly check for missing or damaged products as soon as possible.  You must notify Sensory Direct of any missing or damaged products within 3 days of the delivery. If we are not notified of missing or damaged products within 3 days we are unable to claim from the Courier and we will be unable to refund or replace the missing or damaged products. If the packaging appears damaged and you do not have time to check the products you should sign the Courier's paperwork and add the word "Damaged".

    Non-receipt of your order must be notified to Sensory Direct within 7 days of notification of despatch.

     

    DELIVERY

    If all items are in stock we aim to despatch your order the next working day (Monday to Friday) when placed before 2pm.   For larger orders and School Purchase Orders despatch times may vary.

    Sensory Direct’s Weighted Blankets, Weighted Jackets, Shoulder Wraps, Lap Pads and other handmade products may take 3-5 working days to be despatched, if not in stock.  

    • Delivery is FREE for online orders of £45 and above within Mainland UK (excluding Highlands, Offshore Islands and Northern Ireland).
    • Mainland UK delivery charges are £5.95 for Courier delivery for orders under £45. (See FAQs for Courier Estimated Delivery Times).
    • Some larger products may be delivered directly from the manufacturer.  Delivery times may vary.  Please ensure someone is available to accept your delivery during the indicated delivery times, as a redelivery fee may be applied if no one is present.
    • Please note that once an order has been placed the delivery address cannot be changed.
    • Please note we cannot deliver to a PO Box address.
    • We are currently unable to ship outside of the UK unless you hold a trade account with us.

    Christmas Returns Policy 

    We want to give our customers peace of mind that all eligible products purchased between 1st November 2025 and 25th December 2025 can be returned or exchanged until 31st January 2026.

    Customers simply need to return the product(s) in the original re-sellable condition together with the completed Returns Form.

    Please note this excludes reporting missing or damaged products which must be reported within 3 working days, so please ensure you open and check your order when it arrives.

    We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase, but if you find that the product is not suitable you must return the product to us within 30 days of receipt for a refund or exchange of the same or similar.     Returns of sale products must be within 14 days of receipt.

    To receive a refund or exchange, goods must be returned unused, in their original packaging and with all original documentation.

    Our Story

    When my son was born with autism, my world changed and Sensory Direct was born

    Ethan had been prescribed different forms of medication, and although they helped a little, I didn’t want to become reliant upon them, so Ethan’s Paediatric Consultant suggested a Weighted Blanket. I remember hearing this and thinking ‘what on earth is a Weighted Blanket’? At this stage I was blissfully unaware of how life-changing that Weighted Blanket would become.
