Junior - Unisex Weighted Hoody - provides a discreet weighted solution, perfect for fashion conscious youngsters. These Weighted Hoodies are designed to provide all the therapeutic benefits of a weighted jacket in a cool, wearable style.
Deep Pressure Vest - made from a neoprene body wrap with two shoulder straps, the vest can be adjusted to give a tight, reassuring "hug" to the body. No weight is used - instead a deep pressure is applied to the body by the wrapping of the vest around the body and over the shoulders.
Ear Defender - our Ear Defenders reduce the sounds of the world and help provide a safe space for the wearer. They come in a choice of colours, are fully adjustable, lightweight and fold down to a small compact size for storing in your bag or pocket. They fit from 12 months to adult.

Our Out n About Confidence bundle has been put together to help you feel more grounded when you are out n about.
The bundle provides Deep Pressure relief via a combination of the weight of the hoody and the compression applied by the vest. The wearer will experience proprioceptive feedback to the body and shoulders, providing a "calming and organising" effect for sensory seeker.
To aid your confidence, you can choose a pair of our fully adjustable Ear Defenders to support you at times when the noise surrounding you is a discraction or uncomfortable.

Junior - Unisex Weighted Hoody
- Sensory Direct's Weighted Hoody provides a discreet weighted solution, perfect for fashion conscious teens and young people. These Weighted Hoodies are designed to provide all the therapeutic benefits of a weighted jacket in a cool, wearable style.
- Recommended by Occupational Therapists to help those with poor body awareness, the weight is often found to reduce anxiety and aid focus and concentration. The deep pressure provided has a 'calming and organising' effect on the body's proprioceptive system.
- The inner lining of our Hoodies contains a total of seven pockets which are strategically placed for the insertion of weights - discreetly located on the shoulders, around the waist and in the hood. All weights are removable for easy washing.
- Here at Sensory Direct we are passionate about the quality of our products and the hoodies are no exception - made from high quality material in a fashionable design so they do not stand out as a therapeutic aid.
- We recommened that the weight of the jacket does not exceed 5% of the user's bodyweight.

- Promotes a feeling of calmness and security.
- No weight is used - instead a deep pressure is applied to the body by the tight wrapping of the vest around the body.
- Good for challenging and sensory seeking behaviours are often reduced with the application of deep pressure.
- Anxiety and distress can be reduced by lowering the heart rate, calming breathing, in turn promoting a feeling of security.
- Some autistic children and adults enjoy tight clothing or wrapping themselves up in sheets or a gym mat to give them the pressure they crave - the compression vest works on the same principle and benefits those with tactile and proprioceptive sensory problems.
- Can be worn discreetly under a jumper.

ON RECEIPT OF YOUR ORDER
On receipt of your order please open all packages and thoroughly check for missing or damaged products as soon as possible. You must notify Sensory Direct of any missing or damaged products within 3 days of the delivery. If we are not notified of missing or damaged products within 3 days we are unable to claim from the Courier and we will be unable to refund or replace the missing or damaged products. If the packaging appears damaged and you do not have time to check the products you should sign the Courier's paperwork and add the word "Damaged".
Non-receipt of your order must be notified to Sensory Direct within 7 days of notification of despatch.
DELIVERY
If all items are in stock we aim to despatch your order the next working day (Monday to Friday) when placed before 2pm. For larger orders and School Purchase Orders despatch times may vary.
Sensory Direct’s Weighted Blankets, Weighted Jackets, Shoulder Wraps, Lap Pads and other handmade products may take 3-5 working days to be despatched, if not in stock.
- Delivery is FREE for online orders of £45 and above within Mainland UK (excluding Highlands, Offshore Islands and Northern Ireland).
- Mainland UK delivery charges are £5.95 for Courier delivery for orders under £45. (See FAQs for Courier Estimated Delivery Times).
- Some larger products may be delivered directly from the manufacturer. Delivery times may vary. Please ensure someone is available to accept your delivery during the indicated delivery times, as a redelivery fee may be applied if no one is present.
- Please note that once an order has been placed the delivery address cannot be changed.
- Please note we cannot deliver to a PO Box address.
- We are currently unable to ship outside of the UK unless you hold a trade account with us.

Christmas Returns Policy
We want to give our customers peace of mind that all eligible products purchased between 1st November 2025 and 25th December 2025 can be returned or exchanged until 31st January 2026.
Customers simply need to return the product(s) in the original re-sellable condition together with the completed Returns Form.
Please note this excludes reporting missing or damaged products which must be reported within 3 working days, so please ensure you open and check your order when it arrives.

We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase, but if you find that the product is not suitable you must return the product to us within 30 days of receipt for a refund or exchange of the same or similar. There are some exemptions to this, please view the Returns page for further information.
Returns of sale products must be within 14 days of receipt.
To receive a refund or exchange, goods must be returned unused, in their original packaging and with all original documentation.

Our Story
When my son was born with autism, my world changed and Sensory Direct was born
Ethan had been prescribed different forms of medication, and although they helped a little, I didn’t want to become reliant upon them, so Ethan’s Paediatric Consultant suggested a Weighted Blanket. I remember hearing this and thinking ‘what on earth is a Weighted Blanket’? At this stage I was blissfully unaware of how life-changing that Weighted Blanket would become.
