Our Long Loop Easi-Grip® Scissors is a range of ultra light-weight self-opening scissors with the added benefit of a long loop handle for additional stabilisation.

Designed for use by those with weak hands and wrists or those who are unable to use conventional style scissors due to swollen and painful joints.

Good for:

  • Weak grip or poor hand strength
  • Poor sensation or poor motor control
  • Easy to use with swollen joints
  • People with poor motor planning such as Dyspraxia
  • People rehabilitating

Good to know:

  • Lightweight - does not fatigue the user
  • Continuous Loop Handle - automatically re-opens scissors when pressure is released
  • Additional Long Loop Handle - Aids finger isolation using middle, ring and little finger for strength whilst index finger is used for guidance. Alternatively for those with very restricted movement, fingers can be placed over the long loop handle

  • Walking along the road to school less stressful.

    Comfortable, easy for child to put on themselves and adjust, these also fold back down to be compact. They do not block a lot of sound but lower levels. They make walking along the road to school less stressful for my daughter taking the sound of passing cars to "noisy cat purrs" in her words.

    ON RECEIPT OF YOUR ORDER

    On receipt of your order please open all packages and thoroughly check for missing or damaged products as soon as possible.  You must notify Sensory Direct of any missing or damaged products within 3 days of the delivery. If we are not notified of missing or damaged products within 3 days we are unable to claim from the Courier and we will be unable to refund or replace the missing or damaged products. If the packaging appears damaged and you do not have time to check the products you should sign the Courier's paperwork and add the word "Damaged".

    Non-receipt of your order must be notified to Sensory Direct within 7 days of notification of despatch.

     

    DELIVERY

    If all items are in stock we aim to despatch your order the next working day (Monday to Friday) when placed before 2pm.   For larger orders and School Purchase Orders despatch times may vary.

    Sensory Direct’s Weighted Blankets, Weighted Jackets, Shoulder Wraps, Lap Pads and other handmade products may take 3-5 working days to be despatched, if not in stock.  

    • Delivery is FREE for online orders of £45 and above within Mainland UK (excluding Highlands, Offshore Islands and Northern Ireland).
    • Mainland UK delivery charges are £5.95 for Courier delivery for orders under £45. (See FAQs for Courier Estimated Delivery Times).
    • Some larger products may be delivered directly from the manufacturer.  Delivery times may vary.  Please ensure someone is available to accept your delivery during the indicated delivery times, as a redelivery fee may be applied if no one is present.
    • Please note that once an order has been placed the delivery address cannot be changed.
    • Please note we cannot deliver to a PO Box address.
    • We are currently unable to ship outside of the UK unless you hold a trade account with us.

    Christmas Returns Policy 

    We want to give our customers peace of mind that all eligible products purchased between 1st November 2025 and 25th December 2025 can be returned or exchanged until 31st January 2026.

    Customers simply need to return the product(s) in the original re-sellable condition together with the completed Returns Form.

    Please note this excludes reporting missing or damaged products which must be reported within 3 working days, so please ensure you open and check your order when it arrives.

    We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase, but if you find that the product is not suitable you must return the product to us within 30 days of receipt for a refund or exchange of the same or similar. There are some exemptions to this, please view the Returns page for further information.

    Returns of sale products must be within 14 days of receipt.

    To receive a refund or exchange, goods must be returned unused, in their original packaging and with all original documentation.

    Our Story

    When my son was born with autism, my world changed and Sensory Direct was born

    Ethan had been prescribed different forms of medication, and although they helped a little, I didn’t want to become reliant upon them, so Ethan’s Paediatric Consultant suggested a Weighted Blanket. I remember hearing this and thinking ‘what on earth is a Weighted Blanket’? At this stage I was blissfully unaware of how life-changing that Weighted Blanket would become.
