Stanley, George & the Power of Body Socks
Sensory Direct's body socks are soft, smooth and super stretchy! The lycra material provides resistance when pushed and pulled against, making them ideal for burning off steam or used for calming and self regulation. In this case study we hear from mum Lisa and how wearing a body sock has helped her fraternal twins Stanley & George to regulate.
Spin, stretch and run with no restrictions!
I recently ordered 2 new sensory body socks for my fraternal twins. One of the boys has ASD, hyper mobility and some sensory issues. The other just enjoys the feel of the suit and likes to match his brother.
We use the suit everyday to help him regulate. If he’s feeling particularly over stimulated or overwhelmed he’ll put the suit on. He's able to spin, stretch and run around in the suit with no restrictions.
He’s says it makes him happy and it feels nice and stretchy. He does prefer to be nude at home so this is an excellent tool to get him to cover up and still feel comfortable. We will definitely be buying another when he out grows this. They are age 6 and wear a small.
