About Us

This website and the products we sell are aimed at parents and carers, doctors, occupational therapists, hospitals, schools and residential schools who deal with children and adults with sensory integration issues - often those with autism.
The business was born in 2005....here is the story of how it started.
"After our son Ethan was born in 2000 our quality of life was negatively affected especially by the lack of sleep. As a baby he stayed awake all day despite our best efforts and he only managed to cap-nap during the night. By 2005 things had deteriorated as we were still unable to have any day or night time respite due to lack of sleep and we were at the end of our tether.
The paediatrician prescribed melatonin which helped a bit but we did not want to rely on them, so she suggested a weighted blanket something we had never heard of. I “googled” and managed to find some sites selling them in America – but the import costs and shipping meant we couldn’t afford one. So with some remnants bought from the rag market and 6lbs of value rice I made one – all be it rather pessimistically! It was the best money I had ever spent because that night Ethan slept through for the first time in 5 years!!!”
I showed it and discussed it with the doctor and I was asked to make one for the O.T. They were so impressed they kept it and started loaning it to other parents. I was thrilled at the prospect of being able to help others in my situation and that’s how it all started.”
Since then we have refined the design of our blankets and developed more weighted therapy products through consultation with parents and occupational therapists. We now have a small dedicated team making out products at our industrial unit in Worcester.
